First off, this isn’t a one day procedure by any means. You are committing to months and multiple visits for follow up.
My husband is 5 weeks out, his top plate is a denture while the bone grows to the implant.
Just had a 4th visit yesterday and the top denture STILL doesn’t fit right.
For the amount of $$$ we paid upfront we expected better. We didn’t expect perfection but certainly not for him to have the kind of ill fitting sore causing denture he could have from a ‘cheap’ denture shop.
Next scheduled appointment is end of September to hopefully attach the top teeth to the implant. However we will be going back next week for help with this plate that is causing more issues.
Really think long and hard about taking this expensive step. At this point if we had known what we were facing we would never have even gone to the consultation.
I truly hope I can report a better outcome soon!
FYI we have already invested nearly $48,000 with clear choice, pre op doctor and labs, post op prescriptions and travel costs to and from the appointments. Plus the interest on the loan we took to finance part of this.
