It has been TWELVE YEARS since my Clear Choice Implants. (Year 2008). Many Implanted teeth have broken over the years where the teeth touchedSad the Implant. Several Implants have FAILEDAngry, TWO MORE THIS TIME. I've had 3 Clear Choice Dentists over the 12 years, ALL of whom said they could fix my Implants. I paid $45,000.00, then Another $6,000.00, and Another $1,000.00 and my Implanted Teeth still are causing problems.Angry

Bad experience with Clear Choice

I too had a set of lower implants from Clear Choice a few years ago and was anxiously awaiting to see what others had to say before I voiced my opinion They demanded all this money, $24,000 immediately. I gave them $12,000 up front and financed $12,000. They do very shoddy work and are very impatient and cruel. Right now the teeth feel bulky and i have been out of the country for a while now. When my teeth were being removed I woke up a few times out of the anaesthesia and obviously was feeling pain only to be ye!led at when I told them I was feeling discomfort. I regretted using them The products/material they use gave me extremely bad breath. It is embarrassing to say the least. I would like to be a part of any class action law suit to expose the behaviour of Clear Choice

Temporary upper Teeth poor workmanship

Yes, today is just my 2nd day after a 3 hour long operations to remove all my upper teeth and bone grafting placing a so called temporary. I had done my due diligence and research before...a 26k decision I did not took lightly. I went 3 times in the office to talk to everyone involved including the surgent. Now, when you get your initial consultation you get all the financial information which is fine..luckily I passed that. So they can check me off as a viable client. Here comes the IMPORTANT PART FOR YOU!! See the models of Teeth implants they have in there office? None of the depicts the so called TEMPORARY that YOU pay the biggest chunk of money for!! They say they have a 2 year warranty on this that's all you now about this piece of Garbage. There is no Model laying around from this..because if there would be a MODEL nobody would go for the procedure!! I now have a thick plate of plastic in my mouth, the so called temporary, that I am totally disgusted with. That does NOT resemble MY Teeth upper teeth.I had much bigger Teeth, those are much shorter. This thick temporary leaves me totally speech impaired and will probably cost me my Job if it doesn't get fixed. I am totally devastated...and don't know what is my best next step..please advise, I lost all faith into this place. Thanks M. in West Palm Beach

Is anybody happy with this company? I have all my financing in order and was ready to schedule with them.

I don't understand why they haven't been shut down. You would think some attorney would jump on this with a class action.

#1720856

Thank you, both of you, for sharing your story. This is one person who is researching work for a broken 4 tooth bridge. I thought Clear Choice might be an option, but clearly it is not.

#1690025

Yes, I had an even worse experience with Clear Choice , they get away with it and very few lawyers will take dental lawsuit case. They would not even give me my permanent Teeth because I complained so much and tried to file complaint with police which also was not taken seriously.

I lost the money and had to go to another dentist.

What they are doing is criminal, but I guess ripping people off is ok if you are a dentist. Before doing this please research!!!

8 months post implant

Husband is still in temporaries, both molar parts of the top have broken off. Wednesday is 2nd fitting before permanent teeth are made. Still on the fence deciding if we did the wrong thing. Not thrilled. Really hoping once the permanent teeth are attached that we can be glad we did this. We aren’t rich, $46,000 is a lot of money. After so many years of ill fitting dentures I thought hubby deserved this.

Scammed Customer!

The greedy Finance woman as you said, which is true! She squirmed $15,000.00 out of me for my son after I told her I could only afford $10,000.. Then said they would finance the balance of $10,000. for my son. I advised her I could not get involved in a finance because of family situation, so was the reason for me giving cash. She put a form in front of me to sign to wire the money in their account. A few weeks ago my Credit Report was hit with a loan that had never had a payment made on it!. When I finally found the source, Clear Choice, they went to a Bank I never heard of and some how got my signature on a loan. They told me my son was finished, but the truth is they never did anything to his bottom teeth. He could not get off work , was on a new job. He had told them he could not get time off until the first of the year. $25,000. for top to be fixed! I am hiring a lawyer!!

Mislead , Mistreated, by Clear Choice

I went to Clear Choice approximately two years ago; after having been denied services ( due to low income) at a Clear Choice in an upscale city. By this time, I was literally choking on my food and having a very hard time with meals. The financial counselor was friendly and supportive during the initial visit; as I was very emotional and in tears as I described my experiences in our conversation. She appeared to be genuine; but later, I realized that I had been mislead by her in regards to financing the surgery for all fours. Over the course of several months she avoided contact with me and was never available when I had appointments . The surgery was December of 2016. I had previously given the dentist a thorough dental history and emphasized that I tend to have a buildup of calcium (?) that requires dental hygiene every 3-4 months. After the surgery, I experienced extreme discomfort and called the the dentist as instructed. She advised me to come to Clear Choice the following morning at 7:30 am. It was January, very cold and a 60 mile drive to take care of the matter would be worth it. I arrived on time. The glass door was locked. I could see the receptionist at her desk. I knocked several times. She picked up the phone and looked at me through the door. I was only approx. 10-15 feet away. I stood outside and waited for her to end the phone call. She finished the telephone conversation and proceeded in my direction; but instead, went to the coffee machine. I knocked gently on the door again. She looked at me, turned and went away to the back. By this time, I was confused and a little angry. Although the business hours were not posted on the door; I knew that I was advised to be there at a certain time and couldn't understand why she would not let me in. Finally, at 8:30 am, she opened the door. I asked why she allowed me to stand out there in the cold and rain, after driving 60 miles to get there. She told me that the office was not open. I explained that I had talked with the Dr. the day before and had been advised to come at 7:30 am. She responded, "well, I didn't know that". By the time I saw the Dr. I was in tears ! She and the dental assistant responded that the receptionist has been known to mistreat people in the past. They suggested I tell the "compliance " staff member who investigates these issues. They brought him into the exam room and again I explained what had happened. He assured me that the receptionist would apologize. I told him that the apology would not be genuine; so there was no need. Nevertheless, she apologized at the end of my visit. The very next day, I started receiving harassing phone calls from the company that financed my surgery. I started keeping a diary. This continued for several months. The caller would remind me of a payment that was due in 15 days and asked if I had the money. I was insulted. I had never missed a payment. Finally, I threatened to contact a DA. The calls continued; but the person would not leave a message. This was the beginning on the drama which would continue with Clear Choice up to the current day. On one occasion the dental assistant slapped my hand as I held a mirror ( not in her line of vision) so that I could get a glimpse of my teeth and their condition. My main concern now; is that since the surgery, Clear Choice can't give me an appointment to clean my teeth....for 9 months. I don't know who to turn to. I went for followup and this was the appointment where I was promised that my teeth would be cleaned. However, when the dentist came into the exam room, she advised the hygienist to re-schedule me. Then she stated that it would cost $250.00. I only had $175.00 and would not have the balance for another 24 hours. I asked, if I could please get the cleaning and pay the balance; since I had driven 60 miles to get there. She stated "no". No money, no treatment. I am trying to clean them myself with the water pick, tea tree oil, brushing; but it's obvious that I suffer with halitosis now. Occasionally, I get nauseated. I am searching for advice and referrals to other places that can offer dental hygiene services to implant patients. I should have paid attention to all the red flags before I ever started getting treatments. On the day of my consultation, a gentleman was in the waiting area complaining of complications from his implants. The staff hurriedly took him to another area where he could not be seen by other patients. Yelp had many complaints listed. But I wanted to be objective. I regret that I did not go else where. But I was desperate. I could not chew and swallow my food properly. I was taken advantage of and the interest on my dental build is $300.00/month. That's the interest. I pay approximately $750.00 of my social security check to the company that financed the surgery; since I signed the agreement under duress. They still continue to harass me by calling and hanging up. I have never been late with a payment. Yet, I have been mistreated by Clear Choice and this finance company.

Have you noticed how all the "angry" patients cannot spell or use proper grammar?

I agree with the previous comment that you should do your research regarding price before you go to a consultation and then you have no reason to be upset at your own ignorance.

I also find it is funny that some complain about Clear Choice charging $6k for an implant where the "going rate" is $2k - go get the $2k implant - it is your choice after all.

I want to make sure this does not happen to another person, and i want Clear Choice to be held accountable for their actions.
After doing further research, I believe I dodged a bullet. I experienced the full 3-D xray and initial consult, as well as watched a video. The dentist came in and said, "I won't pull your teeth." He didn't even look at my mouth. It's interesting how Clear Choice runs...

Believe it or not, there is research that links cardiac disease with dental disease. Actually, there's a lot of research that no one tells us about that shows bacteria in the mouth due to dental disease causes all kinds of other health problems, including even cancer.

It makes sense... for instance, when you have an abscess due to a cavity becomes large enough and it spreads to the bone it eats away at the bone. Those cells in the bacteria can mutate and change healthy cells into cancer cells or other diseases. So they spared you because you are not a straight forward case and you don't have enough health gums or bone for them to feel confident in the outcome.

Consider yourself lucky that they didn't accept you as a patient.

Get a copy of your cone dental cat scan to take to whomever is going to treat your mouth because you don'y want to sustain any more radiation than necessary over the course of your life time. Cancer is cumulative from the radiation we get and doctors and dentists do it way too much.

Bleeding from the nose doesn't sound good at all, you should go directly to the ER. There is a good chance one of those hacks drilled into your sinus cavity which is no joke and should not be taken lightly.

I have read complaints of exactly just that happening. I have to do something with my rotten teeth soon and the more I read about implants (besides the astronomical price) is they are a real PITA.

Dentures are no picnic either, but at least you can take them out to clean and you won't have to re-mortgage your house to get them. Good luck getting things taken care of and be sure to keep everyone posted.
